The Garden State

So, here we are, officially South Jersians. It's been almost two years since we have been East Coasters. Go Eagles! yuck- football is lame. Jersey is so beautiful, especially in the fall. The leaves are every color of the rainbow. I love Utah but Jersey is just one of a kind. It's weird how everybody thinks Jersey is the armpit state of the US. I don't get it. It is the Garden State people. Aarghhh. You can't bust on it until you come visit us. I hear that North Jersey is pretty scary so I'm guessing that doesn't help us. Oh well. It was a little rough in the beginning, trying to get settled and figure out what we were going to do with our lives. We eventually moved into a condo in my hometown. It needed a lot of work, but in the end it was beautiful. I have learned that I love to decorate. It is definitely my thing! Too bad it's lots of money. I finally felt like a real wife, cooking for Nicholas and cleaning. It was really nice. I don't understand those independant women of today. I love being a wife and taking care of my house and husband and kitties of course. Oh ya. We adopted another little rascal. His name is Butters. He really is the apple of my eye and I don't even know what that means. He is so adorable. He gets away with murder

Good Ole Provo

We met in good ole Provo, Utah in September 2005. I remember the first time we saw each other in Olive Garden. We both worked there at the time. It was an interesting job. I thought he was so cute but he looked like he was 16 and I wasn't going to go there. He thought I was cute too but people told him I had boyfriend. It was definitley meant to be because we had a mutual friend, Bethany, who was a great match maker. She said that she wanted me to meet this Nick kid because he was right down my ally. She told him about me as well but we had already met at the OG. He's a smart one and put two and two together and realized that we had already met. He said sign me up and got my number and the rest is history!

For our first date we went to Cold Stone and saw a show at Muse. I love that place and miss it. We worked together so that was really fun. The customers were horrible tippers but our co-workers were a blast. We miss you guys. Guitar hero and Ultimate Fighting. Those were the days. I was a little wishy washy in the beginning. Sorry, Nick. I guess I just wanted to keep my options open in the beginning, but the more I got to know him, the more I fell for my baby. I warned him in the beginning that I was planning on going back to Jersey so if he didn't like that to not even bother with me, to be blunt. Nicholas is so layed back and pretty much said that it wasn't a big deal. One year later we were married in the LA Temple, which was absolutely amazing. My Mom and Dad even came out for it. We were sad that they couldn't come in but so grateful for all their support. I love you Mom and Dad.

We went to London for our honeymoon. It was really fun. The history and architecture was great to see. It was fun seeing all the punks with their mohawks too. hehe
